Salem Marine Terminal

A port of entry since 1682, this terminal in Salem, New Jersey, is one of the oldest ports on the East Coast. The port handles sand and gravel, and other dry bulk cargo.

The terminal is currently undergoing expansion to include a new berth and upland improvements. The new berth will consist of a 400-foot bulkhead and a high-level concrete deck, fenders, and mooring cleats. An 8-acre upland area will be reconstructed for storage.

Following construction of the 400-foot berth high-level deck and bulkhead wall, the berth will be dredged to 22.5 feet below mean low water (MLW) depth.
