Robert Tighue
State Treasurer’s Designee

Robert Tighue brings deep, specialized real estate expertise to his role on the board, where he serves as the State Treasurer’s representative. As a Real Estate Specialist with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury’s Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), he oversees complex real estate matters involving State-owned assets, including the acquisition, disposition, and strategic management of properties across New Jersey. Appointed as the primary Treasurer’s representative in 2025 after previously serving as an alternate, Robert contributes a strong understanding of how real estate strategy intersects with infrastructure and economic development—key components of the Port’s mission.
Before joining the State, Robert was the owner of a real estate appraisal firm, where he developed extensive experience in property valuation and market analysis. He holds the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, underscoring his expertise in commercial real estate valuation and advisory services. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Rider University and a master’s degree in real estate from New York University.
Robert also represents the State Treasurer on several other boards, including the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency and The Home Port Alliance (Battleship New Jersey).
