Extraordinary Access…

Our terminals in southern New Jersey, operating in Camden, Paulsboro, and Salem, offer extraordinary access to the entire eastern seaboard of the United States. Easy connections to the New Jersey Turnpike and I-295 link our facilities to every major city in the northeast and mid-Atlantic states, including Philadelphia, New York City, Wilmington, Baltimore and Washington DC.

Our rail freight network, particularly the four-rail line system at the Broadway and Balzano Marine Terminals in Camden, gives port customers the surface transportation they need to move their products and goods efficiently and economically.

Our Expert Reputation…

The South Jersey Port Corporation’s marine terminal facilities, located in southern New Jersey on the banks of the Delaware River, are the ideal portals for international cargo to and from the richest markets in the world.

Known worldwide for our expertise in the handling of break bulk cargoes, the South Jersey Port Corporation has an unsurpassed reputation in the handling of wood and steel products. In the last twenty years, we have become the #1 port handling import of wood products in the United States. We also handle a growing array of steel products including, coil steel, slabs, wire rod, structural and pipe.

With excellent facilities and cargo-handling equipment for containerized, bulk and break-bulk cargoes, two million square feet of warehousing, deep-water berths, wharf-side intermodal rail, immediate access to interstate highways, and highly skilled staff; cargoes off-loading at the SJPC’s terminals are within the industrial/commercial epicenter of 100 million Americans and the industrial heartland of America and eastern Canada.

Shippers and customers look for well-maintained facilities, careful handling, competitive rates and reliable terminal and landside service that will speed their cargoes to their final destinations. The SJPC succeeds here on all accounts. We have expert labor – well versed in the sensitive requirements of the cargo that moves through our terminals and direct discharge from vessel to rail cars is also offered.

We are open twelve months a year and service a growing number of steamship lines every week of the year. However, we do not rest on the fact that our geography allows us to be a year-round port. Our aggressive attitude toward customer service consistently wins us cargo.
