Education / Outreach
Learn about the South Jersey Port Corporation ‘s marine terminals at the Port of Camden and at a sister marine terminal now under development at the Port of Paulsboro. The SJPC offers three public educational programs which highlight the very visual differences between a break bulk and bulk handling seaport and those that specialize in cargo containers.
The SJPC offers educational materials that introduce school children to the world of international seaports. Download any of the materials found here to be used as an introduction to a maritime port and its operations. Information can be used in local history discussions, in mathematics classes, and in geography lessons as well as in many other subject matter discussions.
Arrange a tour for your class or organization in order to see first hand the infrastructure required to handle the import and export of materials by sea. Call Jay Jones, public information, at 856-757-4969 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ask for one of our Port professionals to visit your class or organization to speak on any number of port related subjects, such as port history, environment stewardship, state of the port, or port security in a post 9/11 world. Call Jay Jones at 856-757-4969 or email him at email@example.com.
